Centre for NanoScience and Technology
Centre for NanoScience& Technology (CNST) was established in the year 2007 realizing the importance of Nanoscale or Nanostructured materials in various technological applications. Nanostructured materials are materials with the structures modulated in zero to three dimensions on the length scale less than 100 nm. Materials in the Nano scale exhibit novel mechanical, electrical, optical & magnetic properties which make them useful in many applications in the technology front. CNST department mainly focuses on teaching and research in the field of Nano Technology under the support of DST-Nanomission. The centre is funded by TEQIP-II and TEQIP-III. The centre has been accredited by NBA. The PG course lays emphasis on applications of Technology to meet the market demands. The centre is uniquely placed in the university's landscape. The centre has been offering M.Tech degree in Nanotechnology (NT) and Nano Electronics and Photonics (NEP). The centre is undertaking research work in the areas of Nano materials and Composites, Energy, Sensors, Agriculture, Electronic, Computer, Bio-medical & Environmental Applications. The centre has developed a good interaction/Collaborations with the various industry.
